LHBA & Phoinix Accepting Grant Applications

Last month, LHBA and Phoinix Development consummated a joint marketing agreement, which allows LHBA and Phoinix to work together for the benefit of the citizens of Louisiana. Over the summer the team has been working diligently in identifying several upcoming grant opportunities in excess of $150 million dollars that we can work on together.
Phoinix is now in need of help from local contractors and associates to put together a team that is ready to execute on these upcoming construction projects.
Phoinix Development Foundation, Inc. is a Baton Rouge based nonprofit construction management organization, which was founded after the destruction left behind by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. With the assistance of the members of LHBA, the organization now has the capacity to construct commercial infrastructure within communities and provide home ownership opportunities to low and moderate income families throughout the state of Louisiana while ensuring permanent housing affordability.
Phoinix’s mission is based upon the belief that (1) all working families deserve a home or apartment of their own, and (2) communities with homeowners from a broad socio-economic range are the strongest and most vibrant and (3) education can rebuild a community.

Once Phoinix receives them, they will begin adding your information to their electronic database which will make responding to upcoming grant opportunities quicker and more efficient.

LeCorgne and Gaspard Honored at LHBA
Posted by: | CommentsCongratulations to Mike LeCorgne, CAG, CGP, CSP, CAPS and David Gaspard, CGA, CGP who were both honored at the Louisiana Home Builders Association (LHBA) Installation Banquet on Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Lake Charles.
Mike was inducted into the LHBA Hall of Fame, which is a place in honor the men and women who have made notable contributions, enduring in nature, to the housing related industry and to the Louisiana Home Builders Association. Mike is an active member of eight local Home Builders Associations in the State of Louisiana, including STHBA. He works tireless for the home building industry and as a representative for 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. He has recently help to create LHBA’s new Builders Risk policy which offers very competitive rates.
David was named LHBA Associate of the Year for 2010. In addition to the STHBA, he is also an active member of three other local HBA’s in Louisiana. He is always there to lend a helping hand. David is the owner of Floorco, Inc., a local floor covering wholesaler in the Greater New Orleans.
Both of these men are active on the local, state and national levels of the Home Builders Associations and continually strive to improve the industry. We are proud of them for their accomplishment and thank them for their hard work. Way to go Mike and David!
