2011 Raffle House

The 2011 “Raising the Roof for Charity” Raffle House is now complete. We’ve recently had several events at the Raffle House to celebrate, including a Ribbon Cutting & After Hours, a Realtor Open House, and an Easter Egg Hunt.  All events were successes.  We’ll be posting some pictures from the events soon.

The Raffle House is now available for viewing on the weekends.  It’s open every weekend in April (excluding Easter Sunday) from noon-2pm and during the Parade of Homes weekends from noon-5pm, starting on May 7th.  As a reminder, the Raffle House is located in Bedico Creek Subdivision, a Lifestyle Preserve community.

This house is built through the generous contributions of our members.  We appreciate every one of them for their support.  Be sure to see a complete list of sponsors at http://raisingtheroof.net/sponsors.php.  Also, this year the house is partially furnished by American Factory Direct.  We just learned a few weeks ago that they are donating the furniture to the winner of the house!  So, if you win the house, you will also win the furniture that’s already in there!

The “Raising the Roof for Charity” Raffle House benefits local charities in St. Tammany Parish.  Since its inception in 1994, the Raffle House project has given over $4 million to local charities.  This year’s charities are:  American Red Cross (Northshore Chapter), The Good Samaritan Ministry, Northshore Families Helping Families/Tammany Trace, St. Tammany HBA Charitable Trust and Support Our War Heroes.  Be sure to buy your ticket today to help these worthy local charities.

A special HUGE thank-you to our chair of the Raffle House this year – Kenny Elliott.  It’s his 1^st year chairing this project and we’re trying a lot of new things out this year for the 1^st time, too.  Kenny has done a fantastic job so if you see Kenny around town, please thank him for his hard work.
