Raffle House Pays Off Big for Local Charities

Thanks to the proceeds of the 2011 Raffle House, over $163,000 will be divided among the following local charities:  The American Red Cross, The Good Samaritan Ministry, Northshore Families Helping Families with the Tammany Trace Foundation, St. Tammany HBA Charitable Trust and Support Our War Heroes.

This project is only possible through the support of the STHBA members and the public who purchase tickets for $100 each.  According to HBA president Kenny Adams, Jr., CGP, CSP, “Each year we are overwhelmed by the generosity from our members and the public.  It is only through their contributions and hard work that we have been able to give so much to our community.”

The house is always constructed by the STHBA Immediate Past President.  The 2011 Past President, Ron Lee, CGB, CSP, of Ron Lee Homes, built the house on a lot that was donated by David Waltemath in Bedico Creek Subdivision in Madisonville.  Some of our other Cornerstone Sponsors were Resource Bank, Floor to Ceiling and Jackson Cabinetry.  In all, approximately 60 members donate goods, services or cash to the project.

Raffle House Chairman Kenny Elliott, CGP, CSP, CDPE of Re/Max Real Estate Partners has already begun the planning for the 2012 Raffle House.   Kenny Adams, Jr., CGP, CSP, of Integrity Builders, will construct the house in Maison du Lac Subdivision in Covington, on a lot donated by Bruce Wainer of Wainer Companies.
